Living Liturgically
Ways to Cultivate the Faith At Home
We all love holidays like Christmas and Fourth of July; we also enjoy national days such as National Donut Day and National Fly a Kite Day. We, as Catholics, are blessed to have a year brimming with holy days and feasts days that we have the opportunity to celebrate with special meals or activities. This is not an exhaustive list; see below for some suggestions on how to celebrate our Christian year!
"The Christian home is the place where children receive the first proclamation of the faith. For this reason the family home is rightly called “the domestic church,” a community of grace and prayer, a school of human virtues and of Christian charity" (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1666).
May 2: St. Athanasius, Bishop and Doctor of the Church

May 21: The Ascension of the Lord
- Read the account of Christ’s ascension: (Acts 1:3-11).
- Pray that Christ might return soon, bringing eternal peace and justice to the Earth.
May 26: St. Philip Neri
- Read this short
reflection on the life of St. Philip Neri.
- Ask for St. Philip’s intercession, that the laity might be strengthened in faith.
